Teacher/ Project Manager
Tsering Yangzom is 29 years old. She was born in Lho village in Nubri from a Kutang mother, (lower Nubri) and a Tibetan father. Yangzom spent her childhood in Nubri before attending primary school in Manang, the neighbouring remote mountain region situated West of Nubri. She then went to Pokhara to attend secondary school at the Tibetan SOS Children Villages school.
Yangzom came back to Nubri after class 12 to work as a primary school teacher and then started working for H.E.L.P. three years ago as Head Teacher (Tibetan) for basic-literacy and vocational training class for women empowerment and income generation and projects manager. She enjoys and shines at cooking, and is a people’s person who likes sitting to have butter tea and chat with locals in the community.
